Adult Gymnastics Summer Camp

CAPTivate is hosting our fourth adult gymnastics camp this summer from July 17-20 in Tawatinaw, Alberta at Pine Valley Resort & Gymnastics Club. Located one hour north of Edmonton, Pine Valley boasts hostel-style accommodations for 75 people, delicious catered meals, and an onsite gymnastics facility with all 8 artistic gymnastics events, a second floor space perfect for acro, and all 3 trampoline gymnastics events, including two in-ground trampolines bordering a foam pit. Private rooms, double rooms, triple rooms and rooms of 8 are all available. You can choose from the following gymnastics groups:

Advanced* Artistic Gymnastics
All-Levels Artistic Gymnastics
Acro & Tumbling
Trampoline & Tumbling

*Advanced athletes require familiarity with back handsprings on floor, kips on bars, and front handsprings on vault. This is roughly equivalent to Xcel Gold and above.

For out of town friends, the closest airport is Edmonton (YEG). Land before 12pm on July 17 if you want a ride to the camp. If you're flying in on July 16, reach out if you need a place to stay in Edmonton for one night. Fly out after 7pm on July 20 if you want a ride to the airport after camp.

Pricing

The cost is $649 + 5% tax CAD for CAPTivate athletes enrolled in our spring session, or $699 + 5% tax CAD for new friends. The default payment plan is half at the time of registration and half on July 3. This price includes:

3 nights of accommodation in hostel-style dorms at double occupancy or more
3 lunches and 3 dinners
18 hours of gymnastics (structured + open gym)
2 yoga sessions
circus workshop
acroyoga / gymnastics skills workshop
mock meet with certified judges (Xcel & T&T)
karaoke + lip sync + skit night
campfires / crafts every night
camp tank top (if registered before June 27)
transportation to/from the YYC or YEG airports (within convenient time slots)

The cost does not include:

private accommodations, which are available for an upgrade fee of $125 + 5% tax CAD
bedding - sheets, pillow, blanket, towel. Bring your own, or ask a local athlete to lend you some, or upgrade to borrow some from Pine Valley for $25 + 5% tax CAD.
breakfasts - there will be a breakfast club that folks can opt into (this will be organized by a local athlete, who will gather input, do a Costco run, and cost-share)
transportation to/from airports outside of convenient time slots

Guests & Kids

Non-gymnast friends/partners/kids are invited. There are lots of walking trails in the area and it's a beautiful, relaxing, rural resort. The cost for a guest, including accommodations, meals, workshops, socials, and open gyms, is $399 + 5% tax CAD. This price applies to any guest over 7 years old.
For kids ages 4-6, if they occupy a single bed in a double occupancy room, the cost is $150 + 5% tax CAD.
For kids ages 0-3, if you bring a bassinet, pack n play, or floor mattress, the cost is $30 + 5% tax CAD.
The flat fee for childcare (for ages 0-10) is $120 + 5% tax CAD per child. This covers childcare for all the hours of coached gymnastics, plus the one hour skills workshop, which is a total of 14 hours. Childcare is not available during the 9-10am optional activities.

Coaches may shuffle around depending on registration numbers. Some coaches may choose to share one coaching spot and coach half the time and train half the time.

Winter Camp 2025/6

The CAPTivate 2025/6 Winter Camp is tentatively scheduled for Jan 2-4, 2026 in Canmore, Alberta.
If you're flying, land at YYC (Calgary) before 12 pm on Jan 2 and fly out after 7 pm on Jan 4 if you want rides to / from the airport. You can also fly in on Jan 1 and stay with a Calgary athlete for one night.
Registration will open in October so check back at that time.
