Gymnastics & Acro Winter Camp

CAPTivate is hosting our fifth adult gymnastics & acro camp this winter from January 2-4, 2026 in Canmore, Alberta at Canmore Illusions Gymnastics Club. Located one hour west of Calgary, Canmore is nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, with stunning views, natural hot springs, and world-class skiing/snowboarding! The gymnastics facility features all 8 artistic gymnastics events, a second floor space perfect for acro, a trampoline, a tumble track, and a foam pit. While the camp will feature workshop-style rotations, we are asking our participants to help us prepare better by choosing one of the following groups:

Beginner Artistic Gymnastics
Intermediate Women's Artistic Gymnastics
Advanced Women's Artistic Gymnastics
Men's Artistic Gymnastics
Acro & Handstands

*Full descriptions of "beginner, intermediate and advanced" skills are in the registration form. Advanced athletes require back handsprings on floor, kips on bars, and front handsprings on vault. This is roughly equivalent to Xcel Gold and above.

For out of town friends, the closest airport is Calgary (YYC). Land before 10am on Jan 2 if you want a ride to the camp. If you're flying in on Jan 1, reach out if you need a place to stay in Calgary for one night. Fly out after 7pm on Jan 4 if you want a ride to the airport after camp or consider staying a few days to enjoy the beauty of the Canadian Rocky Mountains!

Pricing

The cost is $299 + 5% tax CAD for Canadians currently enrolled in a CAPTivate Fall 2025 program. For new friends or returning friends, the cost is $349 + 5% tax CAD. Payment can be sent by e-transfer (from Canadian bank accounts) or by credit card (additional fees apply). The cost includes:

11 hours of gymnastics (structured + open gym)
circus workshop
restorative yoga
soak in the Banff hot springs
camp long-sleeve shirt (if registered before Dec 1)
transportation to/from the Calgary airport (within convenient time slots)
one night in Calgary prior to camp at a fellow camper's home (if requested)

The cost does not include:

accommodations - we have two group AirBnBs booked (BOTH with hot tub access!) available to the first 20 people that opt in. The cost for the AirBnB is $143-$173 per person (on top of the camp fees). After these two options fill up, there are hostels available for cheap OR we encourage folks to group together and book other AirBnBs. We can help facilitate this.
meals - for any shared accommodations, we will try to organize a meal club that folks can opt into (where a local athlete gathers input, does a Costco run, and cost-shares back to the group). The Team Dinner on Friday is not included in the fees.
transportation to/from the Calgary airport outside of convenient time slots

Guests & Kids

Non-gymnast friends and partners are invited to Canmore! If guests would like to participate in the circus workshop, the restorative yoga session, any open gym hour, or the group trip to the Banff hot springs, the cost for each of the aforementioned events is $17+gst per guest per event.
Unfortunately, there is no childcare available at our Winter Camp. There is no space to entertain kids within the gym.

More coaches will be added to this list as they are finalized. Coaches may shuffle around depending on registration numbers. Some coaches may choose to coach half the time and train half the time. The Men's Artistic Events workshops will be offered pending demand and coach availability.

Summer Camp 2026

Our famous CAPTivate Summer Camp is confirmed for July 16-19, 2026 in Tawatinaw, Alberta at Pine Valley Resort.
This camp will offer Beginner Artistic, Intermediate Women's Artistic, Advanced Women's Artistic, Advanced Men's Artistic, Trampoline & Tumbling, and Acro & Handstands groups.
Hostel-style accommodations, as well as catered lunches and dinners are all included in this camp!
Childcare will be available onsite, with a limited number of spots.
Registration will open on April 6 and 13, so check back at that time.
